Fearful and teenage pup.

Did you know puppies go through two different fear phases?

- The first one is around 8-12 weeks old. This is right around the time that you are bringing your new puppy home. They are going through a lot of different changes during this time. So try to make this as much stress free as you can.

- The second fear phase is when the puppy is between 5-6 months. During this time they will become afraid of just about everything in their everyday normal lives and surroundings. Again try and make this as stress free as you can during this time.

Now the teenage stage, also called adolescence!

This phase usually starts around 6 months of age, and can last all the way up to 2-3 years of age when the dog has reached maturity. Socialization during this stage is very important! They also need your love and support now! Lastly they might act like they have forgotten everything that they have learned and that you have taught them. Just keep teaching them both new and things that they already know. Don't worry!
