About Me
Hi there,
My name is Amy. I'm a certified dog trainer through ABCDT. I'm also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
Here is some background on how I chose dog training as my career path.
Years ago, I found my passion for dog training by just being around dogs. This led to me studying to
become a dog trainer online through Animal Behavior College. Through college, I had to get some real-
life training experience with a local dog rescue in Evergreen, CO. I also worked alongside another dog
trainer. Then after I completed that, I decided to make dog training a career path.
I started Amys Mountain Dog Training serving Evergreen, Kittredge, Conifer, Pine, Pine Junction,
Morrison, Indian Hills, Floyd Hill, Genesee, and Lookout Mountain, CO. To help others achieve the goals
that they want to have with their dog and to help build a strong and everlasting bond. I would love to
help you train your dog from basic obedience and beyond! I teach puppy and basic obedience classes
and private lessons. I use force-free training methods, clickers, and treats. I believe in training with
positive reinforcement as a key element.
This is my dog, Bailey. I taught her all the basics and even some fun tricks. I also like to do agility with her
for fun in the summertime. She is a good dog and has taught me so much and continues to do so.
